True love always seemed to have conditions for the women in the fairy tales. Sleeping Beauty had to be awakened by a prince. Not just any handsome man would do. Probably would have to be a prince of a country with a certain number of square miles for him to be good enough. Cinderella could charm her prince, but only if she got it done before midnight. Midnight! What kind of Prince is going to leave his party before midnight?  Even Ariel, whose prince was already in love with her, had to have him recognize her when she’d totally changed appearance (no tail!) and couldn’t even speak to him.
